Which hearing aid suits you best?
A hearing aid has three parts: microphone, amplifier and speaker. The microphone picks up sound, the amplifier boosts it and the speaker carries it into your ear. Depending on where they sit, there are three main families:
- Invisible: the tiniest; nobody will know you're wearing them.
- In the ear: attractive, discreet and high-performance.
- Behind the ear: behind-the-ear models give the most amplification.

Nothing: it's free. It takes about 45 minutes and we do it at LUPER Canalejas (Murcia) and LUPER San Pedro del Pinatar.
How much does a hearing aid cost?
From €1,350 per hearing aid. The final price depends on the hearing gain you need and the hearing aid's technology; that's why we do the test first. You'll find prices by type on our hearing aid prices page, and we offer interest-free finance.
Can I try hearing aids before buying them?
Yes. Trials are free, so you can choose the hearing aid that suits you best, and you have a 30-day adjustment guarantee.
How long will it take me to get used to them?
Adjusting is simple but takes perseverance: it's best to wear them every day. The adjustment period is usually less than a month.
How long do hearing aids last?
It depends on how you look after them. With regular check-ups and daily cleaning, the average lifespan is over 6 years.
What guarantee do they have?
A 3-year guarantee. Cleaning and maintenance check-ups are also free.
Is there funding to buy hearing aids?

How do I know if I need hearing aids?

What is a hearing aid?
Hearing aids are small electronic devices with high technological performance. Some styles are worn inside the ear, invisibly, and others behind the ear, practically hidden. Their aim is to amplify sound to improve your hearing and, above all, your communication with the people around you.
How do they work?
They have three main parts: microphone, amplifier and speaker. The microphone picks up sound and converts it into electrical signals; the amplifier increases their power and the speaker sends them into your ear.

Pedí dos gafas, unas normales y otras de sol graduadas. Las dos llegaron normales y tuve que esperar otras 3 semanas en tener las de sol (pagadas desde el primer día, claro).
Pero bueno, eso considero que es un fallo humano y ya está, no es lo peor. Lo que más me molesta es que no veo bien con ellas, me graduaron rápido y mal (y eso que iba con cita).

Quiero destacar especialmente la atención de Carolina en Ópticas LUPER Murcia. Mi caso es complejo (trasplante de córnea de hace más de 40 años, con antecedentes de rechazo), y aun así se tomó el tiempo de explicarme cada prueba con mucha paciencia y profesionalidad. No estaba obligada a dedicarme tanto tiempo ni a hacerme pruebas adicionales, y aun así no dudó en ayudarme sin ningún coste.
