"If you're reading this... we did it!" This is how the letter accompanying each of the one thousand pairs of protective glasses donated by the LUPER opticians to the Murcian Health Service begins, specifically to the Reina Sofía, Morales Meseguer and Virgen de la Arrixaca hospitals in Murcia.

This time, the result has been somewhat different: we have dedicated ourselves to the development, manufacturing, and donation of 1000 pairs of anti-fog protective glasses certified by the WHO for the war against the "bug," in response to reports of a lack of equipment and protection during the COVID-19 alert.
A journey of over 10,491 km from one of our factories in Zhejiang, China, to the various hospitals in the Region of Murcia.
María, an optician at LUPER, confesses that "it has been a very complicated process, especially the logistics. Currently, more than 60% of regular flights have been canceled, cargo planes are overwhelmed, and the delivery process is much slower, as all goods must be disinfected at the origin and destination."
According to the latest data, the Region of Murcia has now registered a total of 109 deaths of patients from coronavirus. Additionally, 513 people have recovered, 37 more than on Monday. A total of 13,982 tests have been performed with negative results.
